Citizen’s Patrol Feature Breakdown: S1E12 – Geofencing

By | August 25, 2019

Dear Friends,

In today’s episode of the feature series, we are going to highlight the “Geofencing” functionality of the Citizen’s Patrol app.

Have you ever wondered, where your loved ones are once they have left the safety and comfort of your home like Senior citizens with medical issues e.g., amnesia leaving the house with absolutely no communication or children going out on pretext of playing…?

Well, now Citizen’s Patrol goes ahead one more step to provide you additional safety precautions of initiating auto tracking once your loved one leaves the pre-defined location. As long as they have not returned to same location or reached another pre-defined location, the tracking continues. Thus, making it very convenient for you to find them in case of any emergency.

Once the settings and pre-defined locations are set, the app works in auto mode without any manual intervention while following the rule: “SAFE” (Set, Activate and Forget till Emergency).

To start with, you have to activate the “Geofence” option under GEofence tab and then save Home, Office, School & Parking locations. Once you are ready, you can individually activate Geofence via “Manage Locations” view.

For Vehicle Tracking functionality users, the Geofence is automatically activated for all route stops when a particular route is activated and commuters are notified at entry/exit of route stops on real-time basis thus making it very convenient for them to know the location of their ride.

P.S. Geofence notifications work for all saved locations but tracking is initiated/stopped only between Home, Office, School and Parking Locations.
