Citizen's Patrol
1. Prerequisites
Any Android device with Google services, Internet access & Location services can be used with this app. Mobile services are not mandatory for running this app but need to ensure that Google services, Internet access & Location access are enabled before installing the app. The app should be allowed to auto start on reboot & should have internet & location access enabled in Security/Privacy/Application settings. Please restart phone if you have enabled these and still getting connectivity errors or the app is taking too long to respond.
2. Registration
All your details are mandatory. Friend details are optional but will be required in case you want Email to be sent to them OR want help request to be sent to them irrespective of their distance from you. Please refrain from using nicknames in name fields as name would be shared during help requests with helpers and should be easily identifiable by all. Please make sure that the Email IDs and phone numbers provided are correct and complete in all aspects and should exactly match the numbers provided by your friend during their registration as this number is part of the main key used to identify/connect with your friend else they will not receive the help messages
3. Required Permissions
Location: Mandatory for the application to work. Without location details app will not work and help request will not be sent/received.
Background Location: Mandatory for the application to work. Without background location (All Time Access) app will not work and help request will not be sent/received.
Phone: Sharing your number can be disabled from registration screen but in absence of this permission, you will not be able to call helper/requester and hence recommended to accept this permission.
4. My Location
You can view your current location details and share it with your family and friends via your preferred option.
5. Vehicle Tracking
Using this functionality, the office/school commuters can track the real-time location of their pickup/drop-off vehicle. Using the “Tracking History” functionality, the passengers will be able to see the Real-time location of the vehicle as a list and on map. This will provide them with a good estimate of the vehicle arrival time and hence avoid inconvenience caused due to missed bus/vehicle or long wait time in case of pickup/drop-off.
6. TrackMe feature
This is one-way tracking feature where citizen can initiate tracking for self only. No one can track another citizen without their permission/knowledge. Additionally, pro version users can share the link of trackMe with anyone they like.
7. Geofencing
This option can be enabled from Geofence tab. Once enabled, user can individually manage Geofences from “Manage Locations”. The notifications are sent when the user enters/exits a saved Geofence location. Geofence tracking is automatically activated/deactivated between Home, Office, School & Parking Locations only. During Vehicle Tracking similar notifications are sent to vehicle/route commuters when route stops are crossed. Once initial setup is done then the app works in auto mode without any manual intervention while following the rule SAFE: ( SET, ACTIVATE and FORGET till EMERGENCY).
8. How does this App work?
During a help request, the server scans the database for all nearby app users and sorts them by distance from you. Then it selects up to 12 users including your friends (irrespective of their distance) and sends help request to them and updates you with their status. In case you do not want any specific helper/s to help you then you can reject them from “Help Status” screen. An appropriate message will be sent to them and the request will be closed from their perspective. You can close the request at any given point of time but please use this app judicially, as frequent false alarms may deter users from coming for help.
9. What is Test mode?
Everyone would like to test the program once installed. Test mode makes sure that you can test the app without nullifying the usability of app. The app will function as normal except it will not reserve the helpers for your request. In case of real emergency, the helpers will still be able to receive help requests but the requester will still have to cancel the request in reasonable time.
10. Email
Email will be sent to your friends in case of help request. Please make sure that the Email ID is complete and correct in all aspects.
11. Privacy Policy
The user details will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone. In case of help requests only your name and location will be shared with prospective helpers. If you have opted to share your phone number then, it will be shared with helpers to enable them to contact you in case of emergency.
12. Cost
The trial version of Citizen’s Patrol is free. It includes all premium options for a period of 3 month from initial install date. Offline Subscription is available in the free version of the app and the full version of Citizen’s Patrol Pro is also available for purchase on Google play.
13. What if, I raise help request and do not close it?
During any active help request, the helper is reserved for your specific request till they decline or you close the request. Hence, to allow the helpers to be available for other help requests, you are requested to close your request as soon as the emergency is over.
14. What if, I receive help request and do not respond to it?
If a help request is received and no response is sent within 5 minutes, the request will go in dormant state for helper and s/he will stop receiving any further updates for this specific request till s/he responds.
15. How will I know that my request has been received by server?
Once the request has been successfully processed, the server will send a notification about your request status. In case you do not receive it then, please wait for some time before retrying.
16. Phone
If you have opted to receive phone call during emergency, then your phone number will be shared with helper/requester only if you accept the request or if you are a friend. On clicking the phone image the appropriate helper/requester number will be automatically dialled. The phone icon will be visible to you only if your device has phone capability and the helper has opted for sharing their number. If used, phone functionality may cost you money as per your mobile plan.
17. Emergency services
You can enable/disable the emergency services for your help request. Default option makes a Phone call to Police. You can alternatively choose to call Ambulance or Fire, if the numbers are different. These options will be disabled in case of Test mode, Friend Only or Emergency option not being selected. If your country specific emergency numbers are not showing up correctly then please reach out to developer with your country and correct number details.
18. What if I do not want this app?
This app is like a term policy which you never want to encash but if god forbid, situation does arise then Citizen’s patrol can help you to avoid encashing the term policy by helping you in your critical requirement. If you are not happy with the functioning of this app then please contact developer with your feedback. If you still wish to uninstall then, it is recommended that you select “Cancel my account” option on the registration screen and click “Deactivate” to mark your account for deletion on server and then uninstall the app.
19. Group Broadcast
You can broadcast message to groups as setup by you. The option is available from menu on main screen. The max size of group name is 60 characters and message size is 160 characters. Be as innovative as possible to setup unique group names as there is no check on group name and there is a possibility of duplication due to which other citizens may receive messages not intended for them. Share your group name with citizens whom you want to add to the distribution list which they will have to save it in their group options. At a time, message from free users will be received by maximum 50 citizens within the same country as yours. The limit is 500 citizens for pro users. This functionality will not send any help request or call any number. Please do remember that messages sent via this functionality are not private and may be monitored for any illegal use.
20. Terms & Conditions
By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. The developer is offering you this app to use for your own personal use only and you should be aware that you cannot send it on to anyone else, and you’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to the developer.
Certitude Infotech is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, developer reserves the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. Developer will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.
If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third-party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.
You are using this app at your own risk and the developer does not take any responsibility for delayed or no response for your help request. Though all precautions will be taken to safeguard your data from misuse but developer will not be liable in case of data theft or circumstances beyond developer’s control.
During an active help request developer has no control upon the identities of Requester/Helper and hence request/accept help at your own risk.
The user will adhere to all statutory requirements and laws of the land during the use of this app and will NOT use it for any other purpose other than as described.
School Timetable
1. PC/Software Requirements
Windows or Mac device with MS-Office with internet connectivity.
2. Data Requirements
The planning data, sometimes referred to as master data that provides the mapping of Class/Subject/Teacher and number of periods is all you need to generate timetables.
3. Timetable layout
A highly flexible timetable layout can be customized as per organization needs with minimal effort. The number of periods and breaks along with their duration can be setup. Special cases with different duration for specific period can also be set.
4. Where can I find the Utilities to run?
All utilities are available on the Control Centre sheet.
5. Coloured Timetables
Utility generates beautifully color-coded timetables. If required the colour coding can be changed to black & white and vice versa.
6. Is it feasible to block certain periods for specific subjects or teachers?
Absolutely, the utility provides 2 types of blocking the period: –
Hard Blocking – The period does not move in any case.
Soft Blocking – The period may get shifted if rearrangement is required to accommodate all subjects/periods.
This data can be entered in the Class Timetables and it will be considered during timetable generation.
7. Free Period Details
A free period details report is generated during timetable generation. It helps in substitution process by highlighting free teachers for substitution.

Phone/Email support is provided as per the requirements/agreement.
9. Timetable Generation Service
An end-to-end timetable generation service is available for additional charge.
