Citizen’s Patrol Feature Breakdown: S1E8 – TrackMe

Dear Friends,

In today’s episode of the weekly feature series, we are going to highlight the “TrackMe” functionality of the Citizen’s Patrol app.

This functionality allows you to initiate a Real-Time tracking request at any time. A notification via app is automatically sent ONLY to your friends as registered. They have to have this app installed to receive all notifications. An Email is also sent if their Email ID is provided in “Registration” screen.

As this is user initiated request, No-One can track you without your permission or link. No one will be able to initiate any background tracking for you.

In case of emergency, the tracking request is automatically initiated along with HELP request and active tracking request is closed when the emergency ends.

You have an option to “Share” your tracking details with your family and friends via your preferred social option i.e., WhatsApp, SMS, Email etc. The link to share gets visible once the tracking request is ON.

The tracking history (Received / Sent) can be accessed at a later time for reference from “TrackMe History” or to get directions to any marked location via google maps.

Some of these features like sharing of tracking details via link are pro features which are available for free for a limited period.

Using the group Subscription in free version of the app OR Pro version of app, you can share your tracking details with anyone.

FYI, this functionality does not send any help request or call any number.
