In today’s episode of the weekly feature series, we are going to highlight the “Helper” functionality of the Citizen’s Patrol app from “helper” perspective.
After receiving the “Help” request:
· Clicking on the notification, will take the helper to the “Home” screen.
· After clicking on “Help Status” button on “Home” screen, a selection screen will be displayed, where he/she can “Accept” or “Reject” to help.
· If the helper “Rejects” to help, then the help request is closed from his perspective and he will no longer receive any further notifications/for this request.
· If the helper “Accepts” to help, then he is taken to a map showing the location of the help requester.
· On the Map screen, he will also get an option to get Door-to-Door directions to requester via google maps.
· Once coming back to Home screen, the “Help” button color would have changed to “Yellow” (Helping) from “Green” (All Good).
· If the requester has agreed to share his phone number, a “phone image” will also be shown on the Home screen. On clicking this image, the helper will be able to directly contact the help requester.
· If the helper clicks again on Help Status button, he is taken to selection screen, where he can choose to “Continue helping” or “Cancel Help”.
· If the helper needs help while helping another person, he can simply press “Help” button. This will cancel his status as helper and send a request for help.
· The color of the “Help” button will change to “Red” (help requested).
· If the helper is also a Friend, then he will receive the help request irrespective of his location.
· Friend helper will also receive a tracking request, which will provide real-time location tracking of help requester, with details like speed, location, altitude and approximate address with an option to get door-to-door directions to the help requester.
· Once the Requester closes the help request, helper will receive a notification for its closure and will not receive any further updates from this requester.
The helpers are reserved for the help request till the help request is completed and will not receive another request till they are released hence it is very important to close the help request when purpose is solved.
It is recommended that your family and friends are also on this app for the best response in case of any help request from them or you.
