Citizen’s Patrol Feature Breakdown: S1E2 – Help

Today, in the second episode of the feature series, we are going to highlight the core functionality of the Citizen’s Patrol app.

Have you ever wondered, how to contact your family and friends in case of an emergency, how to let them know your current location in case of late night travels or how to contact emergency services?

Well, you can do that one by one by calling everyone sequentially OR do it in one go by using single button functionality of Citizen’s Patrol app.

Single press of “Help” button (available on the home screen):

·         Calls emergency services as per your requirement

·         Sends Email to your registered friends with your location details

·         Sends location details to your registered friends via app, if they have the app installed.

·         Initiates your live tracking and shares it with your registered friends.

·         Locates at least 10 other app users (if available) within your vicinity and sends them SOS with your location details.

·         If the helpers accepts to help you, then provides door-to-door directions from his to your location for providing expedited help.

The best part being that this functionality works globally. If you have travelled across countries, all you need to do is to go to “Registration” screen and press “Register” button and you are all set for the new country.

During any help request, the only data that is shared is your name and location. If you have provided your consent on Registration screen, only then your phone number is shared during help request for the helpers to contact you else that is also kept secret.
